Researchers say that 78% of people watch videos online every week. By 2017, online videos will also account for 74% of all web traffic. People are reading less and watching videos much more often. On average, a site that contains video content has 2 minutes more of “user dwell time” compared to sites that have no video. This is good news for online marketers, who continue to develop ways to incorporate interactive videos into social media as well as website content. With the amount of accelerated growth that video continues to have online, 2017 will likely be a year that videos are a major focus for online marketing.
