WordPress currently powers almost 30% of all websites…

…and the more people who are using WordPress, the more attractive it is as a target for hackers. Google Chrome is a bigger target than Opera. Windows systems now a bigger target for exploits than Apple is.

More popularity = more attention from the wrong kinds of people.

Needless to say it’s been a hell of a year with everything from severe server hacks to simply running out of server resources for those clients doing all the right things to promoting and drive traffic to their website. The days of building a site, finding a reliable host and moving on to the next site are long gone my friends. Scheduled monitoring and regular updates are a necessity in this day and age… and still come with NO secure guarantee’s. I mean if company websites like Yahoo, Ebay and Target are being maltreated, what can we do to protect our clients and ourselves?
