Adobe has decided to stop updating and distributing the Flash technology for playing multimedia on the web. When the Internet was brand new, Flash was created to allow users to view media such as videos & games. For the past year Chrome, Microsoft Edge, and Safari have been blocking Flash but Adobe will now remove all support for it by 2020. With the widespread use of HTML5, developers can embed content onto Webpages illiminating the use of add-ons like Flash. Since Flash is still widely used in a number of video sites and games, Adobe has decided to continue supporting the program for the next few years until 2020.
